June 24th: We participated in a Good Morning Gloucester podcast
June 27th: We signed up PAL members at the 90th St. Peter’s Fiesta
July 3rd: We participated in the 76th Annual Horribles Parade sponsored by Neptune’s Harvest Organic Fertilizer and WON the Judge’s Choice Trophy
July 4th: We participated in the Manchester By The Sea parade
July 7th: We participated in the One Hour At A Time Gang/Clean City Commission clean up on Gloucester Ave.
July 26th: We worked with Generous Gardeners to spruce up O’Maley Innovation Middle School garden area
August 10th: We sang our “I will never be a litterbug” song as part of the Harborloop Concert Series
August 24th: We participated in the Magnolia Farmers Market to sign up new PAL members
September 12th: We coordinated a Story of Stuff Brand Audit on Maplewood Ave. and the Emerald Forest wetland
September 13th: We helped to clean up and paint the bleachers at Mattos field for the 100th Anniversary of Mr. Mattos
October 2nd: We recorded our “I will never be a litterbug” song at Rockpile Recording Studio with Tee Max
October 25th: We participated in the annual Laura Evans Memorial Coastsweep at Plum Cove Beach
October 28th: We participated with a new garden initiative on Derby St. planting bulbs for the spring
November 21st: We sang our “I will never be a litterbug” song at Cape Ann Cinema for a fundraiser for M.S. with other local musicians
Last but not least, this summer PAL and the Cape Ann Photographers Club were assigned the task of taking over five bulletin boards at our local beaches, Good Harbor and Wingaersheek. We are grateful for the opportunity to educate residents and visitors of the importance of the Carry In Carry Out program, as well as highlighting our talented photographers right here on Cape Ann while showing some of the creatures that call these beaches home.
